本州、九州、伊豆諸島、琉球列島、中国及び台湾から知られる。フウトウカズラクダアザミウマやシイオナガクダアザミウマなどが作った虫えいの中に浸入する。ただし、その食性は不明で、今のところ捕食者である証拠は見つかっていない。

This species is known from Honshu, Kyushu, the Izu Islands, the Ryukyu Islands, China, and Taiwan. It invades galls induced by several phlaeothripine species, such as Liothrips pallipes and Leeuwenia pasanii. However, its feeding habit is unknown so far, because no evidence has been found that it is a predator.
